Home to characters including Shrek, Harry Potter and Spiderman
The second largest resort in Greater Orlando, Universal Orlando spans two theme parks, an entertainment destination and three Loews Hotels. Of the two theme parks, Universal Studios is the better known. Established in 1990, Universal Studios features iconic rides such as the ET Adventure, Woody Wood Pecker's Nuthouse Coaster and Disaster! a ride that reveals the secrets of disaster movies. More recent additions to the park include Men In Black Alien Attack, The Simpsons Ride and the Revenge of the Mummy.
Universal's newer addition, the Islands of Adventure park, showcases the latest in movie magic and special effects. One of the park's biggest drawcards is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where guests can wander the halls of Hogwarts, swoop and soar on the Hippogriff rollercoaster and experience the popular Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride. Other highlights of the adventure park include the Incredible Hulk Coaster, Jurassic Park River Adventure and the Eight Voyage of Sinbad Stunt Show.
