Located next door to Universal Studios, Universal Hollywood is a theme park based around the film industry. Originally beginning as a small tour of the actual studios, a new studio was commissioned in 1964 as a site specifically for commissioned tours. Since then the humble studio has expanded to become an impressive theme park and one of Hollywood's most popular tourist attractions.
Though the original Studio Tour is still in operation, it has been updated to include the latest in technology. Rides are also a major draw card of the park and surround a range of famous characters including The Simpsons, Shrek, Transformers and the Blues Brothers. Other highlights include Water World, the Special Effects Stage and The NBCUniversal Experience.
