Mt Hotham as a Gay Destination

Skiing enthusiasts have been enjoying the slopes of Mt Hotham for the past 125 years. Located around 350 kilometres from Melbourne, Mt Hotham today is one of Victoria's premiere alpine resorts and boasts a significant snowfall thanks to its altitude of 1,861 metres above sea level. The official season usually commences in early June and lasts until the end of September. There are 320 hectares of fantastic skiable terrain suitable for all ski levels. To transport eager skiers, there are 13 lifts in total including eight quad chairs, two surface conveying lifts, one double chair, one triple chair and a T-bar lift.

The Resort
To maximise fun on the slopes and to minimise travel time, the Hotham Alpine Resort is conveniently situated moments from the downhills runs and only 20 kilometres from the airport. With around 7,000 beds, there's certainly a complete range of accommodation options at the resort to suit all tastes and budgets including luxury apartments and shared lodges. The resort also features numerous restaurants and bars to keep you entertained during the night and has a great community feel.
