The first thing that springs to mind when the Barossa is mentioned is wine, and a lot of it. When the wine tasting is finally exhausted, visitors to the Barossa should take some time out to explore the local towns in the region. Angaston, one of the oldest towns in south Australia, is filled with vibrant cafes and restaurants and a rich culinary vibe. Australia's first mining town, Kapunda, offers a fascinating historical exploration into the early mining boom in South Australia. Greenock is home to one of the best pubs in the region, as well as artisan markets and some of the best art galleries in the region.
