Belfast International Airport (BFS)

Connections to and from Belfast can be made throughout Europe on easyJet Airlines. There are also numerous airlines that fly to warm weather destinations in the Mediterranean. There are many food and retail outlets located in the terminal as well as internet connection options on a pay-as-you-go system. The airport is located 18 miles northwest of Belfast and several public transport options are available including taxi, bus and coach. Full car hire services are also available in the arrivals areas.

You’ll want to snap up cheap flights to Belfast, because after decades of political and religious strife this is a city on the move. A renaissance of sorts has been taking place and the city has enjoyed a long period of sustained growth and rejuvenation. Tourism to Belfast continues to grow and the city offers many historical, cultural and entertainment opportunities. Beautification efforts continue and the ongoing redevelopment has drawn everything from thriving museums and galleries to lively bars and restaurants. Cathedral Quarter includes Custom House Square and acts as the main cultural area of Belfast. Surrounded by such historic structures as the stunning Albert Clock Tower, St. Anne’s Cathedral and the magnificently grand Customs House itself, residents can enjoy regular art fairs, festivals and concerts throughout the year.

Stroll through the lovely streets of Belfast and experience the historic pubs and restaurants throughout the city. The historic facades offer a glimpse into the city’s rich past as do many of the other historically and culturally significant buildings. Belfast City Hall, Belfast and Carrickfergus castles and the famous stage venue Ulster Hall are just a few of the many beautiful buildings to grace the fascinating cityscape of Belfast. Today, one of the most popular city developments is the Titanic Quarter. It is from here, in the shipyard docks of Belfast that Titanic was constructed and launched in 1912, and today this much cherished site is home to not only an extensive and riveting Titanic museum, but also a complete waterfront area that includes many Titanic and city maritime history landmarks.
